40 years after its creation the Stylophone is back, re-released with a few essential improvements, but still with its ultimate retro-styled looks. Introduced to the public in 1968, over 3 million were sold and the Stylophone became an iconic item.
Simply put, the Stylophone is an electronic pocket organ that enables the user to create music by tapping and dragging a stylus across a metal surface; altering the pitch of the note sounding from the internal speaker.
The re-released Stylophone has all the features of the original, except you can now control the volume (phew!) and the added audio input enables you to connect an MP3 player and jam along to your favourite tracks.
Don't be fooled by its simplistic appearance--the Stylophone is not to be underestimated. In fact it's been used by the likes of David Bowie, The White Stripes and also made an appearance on Doctor Who.
Proven Market: Since its launch in 1969 until 1975 over 3 million units were sold in the UK! Retro is huge in the UK and the Stylophone is as unique today as it was in 1969! Stylophone was so successful after it’s launch in 2007 we sold out. Over 20 000 units were sold in 2007, plus over 120,000 YTD in the UK.
